How does invoicing work?

Once you have booked in your initial appointment with a Osteopath, we will require a few more details from you. These details will help us to identify whether you are self-managed or plan managed.

Self-Managed

If you are self-managing your NDIS claim, we will require you to pay for your appointments on the day and we will generate an invoice for you to seek reimbursement through NDIS.

Plan-managed

If your NDIS is managed by a third party, we will need your support co-
ordinator’s contact details so that we ca send through invoices to be
paid.

How to book in an appointment & what paperwork do you need to bring?

You can simply call OsteoCare Craigeburn to book in an initial appointment. When booking in your appointment, please let reception know that you are an NDIS participant and provide your NDIS claim number.

Before coming to your appointment, you are welcome to bring along any paperwork you believe will help the Physiotherapist or Personal Trainer with your appointment.

At your appointment, we will require you to fill out an NDIS Service Agreement before seeking Osteopathic treatment and training. The NDIS Service Agreement will outline the services provided to you from your treating practitioner.

After your appointment, your Osteopath will devise a treatment plan.

company. It is essential that you provide your claim number and contact

Usually an excess must be paid prior to the claim being established and these fees are the responsibility of the individual or their employer.  This means you will have to pay up front for treatment and then be reimbursed directly from your employer until the excess is reached.
  • Please note that there is no gap fee charged for osteopathic treatment claimed under WorkCover (WC) when using our rehabilitation and strengthening facilities, once these claims are established and a claim number and billing information can be provided to our clinic.

  • Please check the Work Safe website for current information regarding “Making a claim”.

Return To Work Plan:

  • A rehabilitation (or return to work) program is based on the principle that where possible we can allow a coordinated return to work.
  • The program is delivered according to medical advice and where necessary the use of a rehabilitation provider.

Rehabilitation aims to do one of two things:

  • maintain the injured employee within the workplace
  • return them to appropriate employment in a timely, safe and cost-
    efficient manner.

A return to work plan as part of a rehabilitation program should:

  • be developed in consultation with the injured employee and the treating medical practitioner
  • be tailored, outcome-based and set out the steps to achieve return to work
  • be available to an employee with a work capacity (unless contraindicated, for example where the employee has retired)
  • be developed using appropriate expertise, such as approved rehabilitation providers, where required
  • recognise the existing skills, experience and capabilities of the injured employee to allow suitable duties to be found
  • if necessary, utilise retraining and redeployment when it is not possible
for the employee to return to pre-injury duties.
