To enhance a student’s practical capabilities and hands-on experience.

Established clinics with experienced practitioners can offer an internship, where a student can conduct a thorough history, assessment, and treatment for private paying patients (at a significantly discounted rate). In this instance, Victoria can treat you independently and will be supported either side of the consultation by a qualified and experienced osteopath.

When?
The internship osteopathic students will commence on Monday the 23rd of August and will be available over a 10-week period for the following shift times:

  • Thursday: 2pm – 7pm

(Return patient 45 mins @ $50, New patient 60 mins @ $70 – No Private Health Insurance Rebates available)

Where?
At Osteocare Craigieburn of course! The shift times have been carefully selected so that Dr Robert McMahon, (and self-proclaimed dinosaur!) of the clinic, Sevda and Claire will be on hand to provide mentoring and support for Victoria.

Why?
This is a great opportunity and can only be seen as a win for all involved. It provides the perfect launching pad for Victoria as they embark on promising careers as osteopaths. As experienced practitioners, this provides an opportunity to sharpen our mentoring skills and share our knowledge in a supportive clinical setting. For our valued patients, it provides another treatment avenue at an affordable rate (whilst still being supervised by a qualified osteopath).
